‘Why do we have and need so much stuff?’ I put my focus on this question and started to live without a place and took only the things that would make my daily life possible. I didn’t miss any physical stuff in particular but I missed personal space and comfort. Inspired by the nomadic lifestyle and the story telling carpets of the Berbers in Morocco I designed a series of carpets myself to define my personal space. Fluorescent colors will warn others that they have to be careful and stay away. Photos of my life create the pattern, although not recognisable anymore they indirectly tell the story of it. By the use of lightweight kite fabric the carpets are made easy to carry and give you the opportunity to create your personal space wherever you are.
